DESCRIPTION
Old Ballantruan 10YO - This first edition of Old Ballantruan produced at Speyside's Tomintoul distillery is using heavily peated barley with an age statement.
TASTING NOTES
This rich gold superb peated malt whisky has a nose of gently spicy with smokey “peat-reek” deliciously balanced by a sweeter creamy core with some gentle peaty smokiness equipoised with a sweet, creamy, malty backbone on the palate and climbing finish of sweetness gradually replaced with smoky depth at the end.
