DESCRIPTION
Isle of Jura 1993 - This vintage single malt whisky was distilled in 1993 and initially matured in American White Oak casks before being given a further and final maturation in Oloroso Pasada sherry butts from the famed Gonzalez Byass bodega in Spain before being bottled at 15 years of age in 2008.This superbly sherried, intense dram from Jura, is part of the distillery's 'Boutique Barrels' series of single casks and this an extremely rare to find.
TASTING NOTES
This reddish copper single malt whisky has an aroma of spicy with hints of coffee, toffee apples and ginger. on the nose and hints of freshly brewed black coffee, marzipan and pepper, gingerbread and citrus in the mouth. Long and lingering finish, with the intense sherried sweetness the star of the show.
