DESCRIPTION
Cloudy Bay Chardonnay - This white wine was one of the first five wine makers to venture into Marlborough and made using traditional techniques, it is a true ‘food wine'. It is all about balance and harmony. Vineyards planted in the stony soils of Wairau Valley and the dense clay of the Southern Valleys work together to create a wine that marries ripe stone fruit and citrusy elegance. The grapes are hand-picked and whole-bunch pressed, a traditional approach to keeping the wine fresh and crisp. The resulting juice goes into barrels for fermentation, along with wild yeasts that build complexity and texture. The wine ages for 11 months, with malolactic fermentation used selectively to provide balance.
