Benriach 16 year old Sauternes Finish - This singlemalt whisky was matured in the traditional style in american bourbon barrels and then finished in sauternes casks, sourced from the Bordeaux region of France with only 1,650 bottles was produced.
TASTING NOTES
A rich antique gold color whisky that has aromas of apricot jam and warm, peppery oak hold touches of crisp grape and mellow honeydew melon on the nose with golden plums and nectarines balanced by contrasting waves of toasted oak and grape seed, followed by a delicate backnote of ground almonds and butterscotch on the palate with oaked spices, peppery smoke at the end.
