DESCRIPTION
Benriach 15YO Dark Rum - This singelmalt whisky was matured in ex-bourbon American oak cask, released in 2006 and part of the Benriach's "Wood Finish Series'. This whisky rum was finished in dark rum barrels from the Caribbean island of Jamaica and then transferred for a finishing period in casks that formerly housed dark Jamaican rum, adding an extra layer of sweet, fruity flavours to the excellent distillery profile.
TASTING NOTES
This light gold dark rum barrel has aromas of fantastic interaction between toffee, spices, cinnamon and sultana, with a rich backdrop of rum on the nose with toffee, cinnamon, apricots, rosehips and chocolate taste, with an avalanche of rum and sultanas in the finish.
