Spooky Cocktail Recipes

Tomorrow is the big day, and we're celebrating all week because Halloween is finally upon us! Get dressed, get busy, and prepare to serve the best spooky cocktails at your parties. Here are our favorite Halloween cocktail recipes that are easy to recreate with readily available ingredients. Of course, we've got all your wine and liquor needs covered, so you don't need to worry about that.

  • Bloody Mary Syringes

Nothing screams Halloween quite like blood. Shoot up these cocktails and have a bloody pregame evening before the wild night ahead.

Ingredients

  • 2 c. tomato juice
  • 8 oz. vodka
  • 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp. horseradish
  • 2 tsp. hot sauce (such as Tabasco)
  • Juice of 1/2 a lemon
  • Freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine tomato juice, vodka, Worcestershire, horseradish, hot sauce, lemon juice, and pepper. Whisk to combine.
  • Fill syringes with mixture and chill. Serve cold.

  • Halloween Sangria

Trick or treat! But we've got only treats for this drink. Let your guests have fun as they enjoy their sangria, filled with a variety of fruits for a refreshing experience.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole black grapes
  • 1 cup whole green grapes
  • 2 oranges sliced into rounds
  • 1 lemon sliced into rounds
  • 1 lime sliced into rounds
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/4 cup brandy
  • 1 bottle Pinot Noir (750 ml bottle)
  • 1 can ginger ale (12 ounces)
  • Colored sugar for rimming glasses

Instructions

  • Rinse and de-stem grapes, then pat dry. Spread in a single layer a baking sheet, then place in the freezer at least 2 hours before you plan to serve.
  • In a large glass pitcher, combine 1/2 of the orange slices (reserve the second half for serving), lime, and lemon slices. Add the brandy and cinnamon stick and stir gently to combine. Slowly pour in the wine.
  • Refrigerate sangria for at least 2 hours or as long as overnight (a longer chill time will increase the flavor).
  • When ready to serve, add the ginger ale to the pitcher and stir gently with a spoon. To rim the glasses, place the colored sugar on a plate, then rub an orange slice around the glass rim. Dip the rim of each glass into the sugar, coating well. Fill glasses with frozen grapes and reserved orange slices, then slowly pour in the sangria. Sip immediately and enjoy.
