World Whisky Day is here! While we’ve already shared plenty of cocktail recipes, this time we’re switching things up. To celebrate, we’re diving into the delicious world of whisky-infused food  – starting from appetizers up until dessert. Discover bold new flavors and elevate your love for whisky beyond the glass with these mouthwatering recipes that pair perfectly with your favorite pour. Check these out!


  1. Whisky Glazed Meatballs


Whether you're craving an appetizer or a light snack during the day, this is the perfect way to elevate meatballs with your favorite drink.


Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef or pork
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Whisky Glaze:
    • ½ cup whisky
    • ½ cup ketchup
    • ¼ cup brown sugar
    • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
    • 1 tsp mustard

Instructions:

  • Mix meatball ingredients, form into balls, and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20 minutes.
  • Simmer glaze ingredients until thick (about 10 minutes).
  • Toss baked meatballs in glaze and serve warm.


  1. Whisky-Marinated Steak


Who doesn’t love steak? We bet you’ll fall even harder for it once it’s marinated in rich, flavorful whisky.


Ingredients:

  • 2 ribeye steaks
  • ¼ cup whisky
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions:

  • Combine marinade ingredients. Place steaks in a zip-top bag with marinade for at least 4 hours (or overnight).
  • Grill or pan-sear to preferred doneness.
  • Rest for 5 minutes before serving.


  1. Whisky-Honey Glazed Carrots


Not a fan of vegetables? Let’s glaze them with whisky and see if you still feel the same. We’ll change your mind, for sure.


Ingredients:

  • 1 lb baby carrots
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp whisky
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions:

  • Steam or boil carrots until tender.
  • In a pan, melt butter, add honey and whisky, and cook until it starts to thicken.
  • Toss carrots in the glaze and cook for 5 more minutes.


  1. Whisky BBQ Chicken


Whisky and barbecue — some things are just meant to be in the same sentence (and on the same plate).


Ingredients:

  • 4 chicken thighs
  • ½ cup BBQ sauce
  • ¼ cup whisky
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp paprika

Instructions:

  • Mix BBQ sauce, whisky, sugar, and paprika.
  • Coat chicken and let marinate for 1 hour.
  • Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 30–40 minutes, basting occasionally.


  1. Whisky Chocolate Cake


Sweet tooth, meet smooth finish — whisky and chocolate are the ultimate dessert power couple.


Ingredients:

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix (or homemade)
  • Replace ¼ cup of the water with whisky
  • Optional: Add 1 tsp instant coffee for richness
  • Whisky Ganache:
    • ½ cup dark chocolate chips
    • ¼ cup heavy cream
    • 2 tbsp whisky

Instructions:

  • Bake cake as per instructions, substituting some liquid with whisky.
  • For ganache, melt chocolate and cream together, stir in whisky.
  • Pour over cooled cake.
