DESCRIPTION
Plantation Rum Original Dark - This rum is part of their Plantation Series of Rum which are hand selected rums from some of the best areas for rum production areas in the world that are selected for further attention and aging by Plantation. A blend of Trinidadian and Tobago rums hand selected by Alexandre Gabriel and aged in heavily charred American oak bourbon barrels in the Caribbean.They’re blended in a wooden vat, and aged for three to six months in France. This double-aging technique gives it a great dimension of flavor, and a wonderful structure.
TASTING NOTES
A deep brown gold hue in the bottle amber colored in the glass rum that has a smoky quality,that gives cloves, cinnamon, black peppercorn, and molasses, with notes of leaves, black tea, dry stone on the nose and on the palate, a fruity, off-dry entry with notes of white raisins and dried pineapples. As it continues, it gets more minerally, with drier notes, and a spicy finish.
