DESCRIPTION

Camus Ile de Ré Double Matured Cognac - An authentic style with a truly distinctive double maturation of eaux-de-vie grown on the small island of Ile de Ré in the most westerly part of the Cognac region known as Bois Ordinaires. It is first matured on Île de Ré in a damp cellar, after which the eaux-de-vie are transported to Cognac and placed in very old barrels which have been toasted specifically to give the cognac structure and a smoky flavor. The combination of these two ageing stages creates a sophisticated, original Cognac. A sea-green box stout, masculine bottle, featuring an image of the Ile de Ré lighthouse completes the package.

TASTING NOTES

A subtle and smooth balance between honey, smoke, and rich candied fruit flavours palate with aroma of toasted and subtle spiced, with as little barrel oak as possible. Brilliant amber color and distinct orange tones finish.
