We've been enjoying daily happy hours, but the grand event is just around the corner – National Happy Hour Day is coming up at the end of the week! It's the most magical time of the day, and we're not about to miss it. Get ready to create your own happy hour celebration with these easy-to-make cocktails that will have you started in no time.


  • Penicillin

Everyone's been feeling a bit under the weather lately. But fear not, a little penicillin can work wonders. We're not referring to the pill, we're talking about this modern classic cocktail!


Ingredients

  • 2 ounces blended scotch
  • 3/4 ounce lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 3/4 ounce honey-ginger syrup
  • 1/4 ounce Ardbeg Corryvreckan
  • Garnish: candied ginger

Instructions

  • Add the blended scotch, lemon juice and syrup into a shaker with ice, and shake until well-chilled.
  • Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice.
  • Top with the Islay single malt scotch.
  • Garnish with a piece of candied ginger.
  • To make the honey-ginger syrup:
    • Combine 1 cup honey, 1 6-inch piece of peeled and thinly sliced ginger and 1 cup water in a saucepan over high heat, and bring to a boil. 
    • Reduce heat to medium, and simmer for 5 minutes. 
    • Place in the refrigerator to steep overnight. 
    • Strain with a cheesecloth.

A modern cocktail that's already beloved by many, this is the perfect happy hour drink due to its quick and easy preparation. No complications, just great vibes!


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 ounces Brugal Añejo Superior
  • 1/2 ounce orange curaçao liqueur
  • 1/2 ounce lime juice
  • 2 dashes aromatic bitters
  • 2 ounces ginger beer
  • Lime wheel, for garnish
  • Orange slice, for garnish

Instructions

  • Gather the ingredients.
  • Build the rum, curaçao, lime juice, and bitters in a highball glass filled with ice.
  • Top with ginger beer.
  • Garnish with the orange and lime. Serve and enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 ounces bourbon
  • 1 ounce grapefruit juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1/2 ounce honey syrup

Instructions

  • Add the bourbon, grapefruit juice and honey syrup into a shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled.
  • Fine-strain into a cocktail glass.
  • Express the oil from a grapefruit twist over the drink and drop the twist into the drink to garnish.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 ounces Buffalo Trace Bourbon
  • 1 ounce Campari
  • 1 ounce sweet vermouth
  • Garnish: orange twist

Instructions

  • Add bourbon, Campari and sweet vermouth into a mixing glass with ice and stir until well-chilled.
  • Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice.
  • Garnish with an orange twist.

  • The Eastside Cocktail

If you're seeking a refreshing cocktail to elevate your dance moves during happy hour, this one is a perfect choice! It's expertly balanced and absolutely delicious.


Ingredients

  • 2 cucumber slices
  • 7 mint Leaves
  • 2 oz. Tanqueray London Dry Gin 
  • 3/4 oz. simple syrup
  • 1 oz. lime juice 

Instructions

  • Muddle cucumber slices in the bottom of a cocktail shaker.
  • Add mint leaves, gin, simple syrup, and lime juice. Fill the shaker with ice, and shake vigorously for 20-30 seconds.
  • Double strain the cocktail into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a cucumber wheel and mint sprig.
