DESCRIPTION
Raasay Isle of Inaugural - The first legal Single Malt Scotch Whisky distilled from 100% Scottish grown Concerto barley and matured in first fill Tennessee whiskey casks before finishing in first fill Bordeaux red wine casks. Lightly peated with rich dark fruit flavours – this historic and limited edition whisky release is an introduction to our signature distillery style. The single malt is packaged in a bespoke bottle that features fossils and rocks from the island molded into the glass.
TASTING NOTES
A natural color expression without the use of flirtation has flavors of almond, hazelnut and sweet spice with dried cherry, lemon cheesecake, soft mineral-forward smoke and subtly oaky cinnamon on the nose and coffee, red apple, another helping of cherry, salted butter on nutty brown bread taste with Creamy butterscotch and vanilla last at the end.
