Penfolds Bin 28 Kalimna Shiraz - This Australian wine is first made in 1959, Bin 28 is named after the famous Barossa Valley Kalimna vineyard purchased by Penfolds in 1945 and from which the wine was originally sourced. It offers a showcase of warm climate Australian shiraz – ripe, robust and generously flavoured and this wine matured 12 months in seasoned American oak hogsheads.
TASTING NOTES
This medium deep crimson red in color wine has aromas of chocolate mud cake dense, cinnamon syrup poached red cherries on the nose with well-balanced, sommé of dried porcini mushrooms; structurally embedded with grainy/sandy tannin on the palate and finishes velvety firm and minerally.
