DESCRIPTION
Kavalan 10th Anniversary Bordeaux Pauillac Wine Cask Matured 1L / with 2 x Glasses - this limited whisky is available in one-litre formats, presented in a gift box that contains two Glencairn glasses. A special single cask bottling of Kavalan, was distilled in 2011, matured in a Pauillac wine cask and bottled in 2018 for the 10th anniversary of the distillery.
TASTING NOTES
This Bordeaux Margaux bottle has a deep amber hue with thick, decadent dessert wine and simmering dark brown sugar emerge, followed by fresh fleshy fruit and gentle Cedarwood in the distance and beautiful aromatic caramel sauce infused with warming spices greets the nose and a beautifully light sour plum wine now appears with a faint, but assertive nuttiness with a warming sweet arrival leads to a melting of rich, buttery toffee that’s studded with plump raisins on the palate. The sweetness mingles with the gentle tart notes to reward the drinker with a delightful dance of flavours on the tongue is long and incredibly rewarding at the end.
